Trauma Toolkit Workshop (10 Week Course)

A 10-week course to learn about what trauma is and explore diverse ways to cope with its impact. Two sessions per day are split between women and men.
This is not a processing space, we will not be sharing our stories here, instead it is a chance to try out practical techniques, skills and learn ideas around managing the impact of trauma in our lives.
Each session will include a chance to experiment and practice different grounding techniques and activities where you will be invited to develop your own regulation/stabilization tools.
Optional ideas will be suggested to try them out at home in between sessions.
There will be a brief tea break at each workshop. You may find it useful to bring along a notebook.

- Finding ways to be in the here and now – practices.
- Managing flashbacks – write your own flashback protocol.
- Working with nightmares.
- Trauma and Self-care – plan.

- Practicing mindfulness.
- Building boundaries and assertiveness.
- Sleep skills – ideas for improving your sleep.
