You can choose between a morning or afternoon session for each workshop:

Morning sessions take place between 10am and 12pm 
Afternoon sessions take place between 2pm - 4pm

Women's 5 Week Trauma Toolkit Workshop

Sept 25th – October 24th
Nov 7th – Dec 5th
10.00 – 12.00

This is a 5-week course to learn about what trauma is and explore different ways to cope with its impact. This is not a processing space, we won’t be sharing our stories here, instead it’s a chance to try out some practical techniques, skills and learn ideas around managing the impact of trauma in our lives.

Each session will include a chance to experiment and practice different grounding techniques and activities where you’ll be invited to make your own regulation/stabilisation tools.

Optional ideas will be suggested to try out at home in-between sessions.

There will be a brief tea break at each workshop. Bring along a notebook.

Supervision & Team Leading Skills

10th of September 2024

During this session, we will work through and clarify what it means to be a supervisor and explain key points that will enable you to build confidence and develop your supervisor skills.

We will then move into communication skills focusing on clarity, listening skills and adaptability. This leads into some key areas to build organisational and planning strategies to deliver a solution focused approach within your team. To conclude we will explore emotional awareness, as we look at conducting, meetings 1-2-1’s and check ins. Through the session you will work through exercises that can be instantly implemented when you return to work.

Food, Mood & Mental Health

24th of September 2024

This session will offer an in-depth exploration of the effects of food and nutrition on mood, mental health, and cognitive function. We will examine how dietary choices can influence mood swings, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.

Additionally, we will delve into the role of nutrition in the prevention and management of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Dementia. Through this exploration, we aim to provide valuable insights into how food can be a powerful tool in supporting mental well-being and cognitive health.

Trans Awareness

This session on Trans awareness will help you gain a comprehensive understanding of transgender terminology, enhancing your knowledge and awareness of key issues. Building mental resilience and a positive mindset are skills and habits that will not only benefit those attending but the people they work with as well.

To begin, we will discuss how previous experiences can be used for learning and future improvement to become more mentally resilient and how to use strategies to build self-belief and optimism in challenging situations. The focus will then switch to how you can build a positive mindset to improve, thoughts, feelings and decision making, to ensure you act with the energy and mindset that you need.

With simple tips and exercises throughout the session you will leave you ready and better prepared to work through challenges with an improved  approach.

During this session, you will be taken through how to be an effective speaker. You'll discover ways to prepare, techniques to avoid being nervous and how to use your voice and body language to communicate with self-confidence.

You will be shown some simple exercises and tools will be shared and preparation for you to implement when you return to work.
